So for anyone that didn't know firearms have been banned in National Parks for the last 27 years. There are several stupid arguments that hold no weight and one of my favorite presidents of all time over threw this stupid law. This law took a long time to pass, over a year, and was open to the public for a month and received 125,000 comments.
Nuts on the left try to say that crime does not happen in National Parks, therefore carrying guns should not be allowed. They claim that only families go to National Parks. Yet in the ruling they reporting that in 2007 8 murders, 43 forcible rapes, 57 robberies, and 274 instances of aggravated assault happened in National Parks. So commies need to get their facts straight. On top of this they try to make arguments that the rangers are armed and able to assist people, as well as stupid arguments that people are going to shoot animals, and why do we need guns to protect ourselves from bears.
So here's my comments.
1. The crime rate proves that people should be allowed to carry. I like to ride at night in Shark Valley. There are no rangers or people around for night rides and I need protection.
2. How long do you think it's going to take a ranger to respond, if you even have cell phone service? Even in the city the cops respond once it's too late.
3. Even if the National Parks had no crime or wild animals to attack, this means that you cannot leave your gun in the car unless you break it apart so it doesn't work and separate the ammo from the gun, kinda like California's commie gun laws. It's a pain in the butt to take apart a gun every time you enter a park. Either that or you have to leave your gun at home. So that means if I'm going to the Everglades and I'm not packing and someone tries to carjack me on the way, I'm screwed. Or what if I go home from a visit to the park and someone is in my house. Suddenly I'm not armed. A lot of people ride expensive bikes and cameras in the Everglades and this is a setup for getting robbed.
4. If you get lost, guns can be used to signal help or if desperate and on the brink of death, illegally hunt. I'm sure the courts would let that one go.
5. Unbanning weapons in National Parks will have no effect on the wildlife protection or tourism. It is still illegal to open carry or brandish a firearm so no tourist will know if you are carrying. It is still illegal to fire the gun and poach wildlife. The gun is to be hidden and only used in an emergency.
6. Once a visitor sets up their camp their camp becomes their dwelling. By Florida law your dwelling is allowed to be defended by all means including death. This is no matter what your dwelling may be at that time: house, tent, car, boat, etc.
Other CCW facts.
*Most people who have a ccw are responsible, law abiding citizens. People in possession with a ccw are 5.7 times less likely to commit a violent crime than those without and 13.5 less likely to commit a non violent crime.
*Only .02% of people with a gun holder permit have committed crimes since 1998.
*After passing the ccw law Florida's homicide rate fell from 36% above the national average to 4% below.
*In Texas murder rates fell 50% faster than the national average and rape fell 93% faster in the first year of ccw enactment.
*States without right to carry laws have violent crime rates 11% higher than the national average.
I can go on and on for hours about this. Let's just hope our new dip **** president doesn't over throw this ruling. Joe Biden has already tried to blame us on Mexico's violence. Read my blog about that below. It holds no ground. Just another stupid comment coming out his mouth.
Here are my links below backing up the ruling.
