Raising Them Right

The day before Dean was born we went shooting in the desert. Jeff brought his kids, I brought Adri, my dad came, and my friend George. About two years ago I tried to teach Adri how to shoot a .22 LR and she was scared so I thought it was time to try again. I also hadn't shot my new 1911 yet so this was a good time to do it.

Adri of course was scared to shoot again. She refused to shoot until she say Ryder shoot. I always forget she is a lefty so of course at first I had her shooting backwards and had to try to figure out how to teach a lefty. After a few shots she finally got into it and likes shooting now.

My first time shooting my 1911 I have to say it is a sweet gun. It makes a Glock look like a pile of junk. It's smooth, it's accurate, it has a good grip, and it's just a sexy gun.

A completely random that has nothing to do with my blog post. After shooting we went to eat at Rock Springs Cafe. So here is a picture of the cousins, minus Maurina.
My niece shooting a super scary war gun. A fully-semi automatically AR-15 with ICBM launcher. The gun was having a good day and decided not to kill anyone.
Adri learning how to shoot with my Ruger 10-22 and 30 round banana clip. Watch out for those high capacity magazines.
I didn't get a picture of me shooting it but here is my 1911. It's a sexy beast. I get stopped often at the store by people asking what model it is.
