Hell 2020

This is my 8th summer in Arizona. Even though the first 2.5 summers were in the hotter part of the valley, this has been the worst. Everything else was getting cancelled this year and monsoon did not want to be left out. Normally the rain starts in early July. This year we are almost into September and we've only had a couple weak storms. They reported this was our hottest July on record. Although we didn't shatter any all time records this year we've had consistent heat. On August 14th Phoenix hit 115 the 8th time this year, breaking the old record of 7. Phoenix has broken 110 over 40 times this year. Even in Anthem we've broken 110 probably 15 times this year, hitting 109 yesterday, in late August! I can't wait until this insanity is over. Sunday we are supposed to drop nearly 20 degrees with a high of 91. I'm hoping the record breaking heat is done after that.

The thing that really sucks is that our idiot governor has closed the water parks. Yes we have a pool but it's just a little play pool, far from what I would have had put in if I had it built. We still have to pay our full HOA fees but our water park at the community center is closed. My gym at the community center is closed as well leaving me with few exercise options. Did I mention our governor is an idiot? He's forcing everyone to either exercise in extreme heat or get fat and unhealthy and be at higher risk of the Rona. Lately I haven't been feeling good so it got to the point where I tie a strap around my ankle then onto a pole so I can swim in place in my pool and actually get some exercise. I went to the doctor for my back and they said there's a big increase of people in pain right now because of these stupid lock downs. But that doesn't matter to the politicians.

The kids are currently doing distance learning. They are supposed to go back to school September 8th. I work from home. Natalie has to help Adri and Zach with their school and zoom meetings, and deal with Dean at the same time. The house is chaos right now. One of the parents decided she doesn't want the school to reopen on the 8th. She has the option to keep her own child at home doing the distant learning but she decided that's not good enough. She wants to force the school shut and force her BS on all of us so she started a petition and shared it online. I couldn't see it because my normal Facebook account is deactivated right now but if I did see it there would be a whole lot of 4 letter words for her. I'm now at the point where I don't care who likes me or hates me. I'm sick of the stupidity in this country and I'm going to tear into someone if they try to enforce their BS on me. Luckily I'm not the only one that is fed up and a lot of people were fighting her about the issue on her page.

So that's our summer in a nutshell. Elections are coming up and people are pissed at what Democrats are doing to this country. Here comes a landslide.

Dean used to be terrified of the vacuum. Then one day I had him help me use it and now he's obsessed with the vacuum to the point where he even pretends he is the vacuum.

Dean has no fear when he has his floaties on.

Natalie got Dean some floaties that work really well. Only two and he can swim on his own while wearing them.

Dean with Bear. He's smiling because he can see bear on my phone.
Dean trying to figure out the horns.

When it's 108 after sunset you swim.
